Released in 2014, this series of images by Syrian artist Saint Hoax shows Disney princesses kissing their fathers, or their fathers kissing them. Intended to bring attention to child sex abuse by relatives, the image captions state that 46% of minors who are sexually assaulted are victims of family members. I don’t love looking at these, so I’m not posting a thumbnail.
I have mixed feelings about this project. These images have more shock value than depth. But if it gives us a useful communication tool, more power to Saint Hoax.
The images are no longer on the artist’s website, but you can read about them on Huff Post.
And I like his Instragram post in which Disney’s Hercules is transformed into a drag queen.
