If it looks like a duck…

When he dressed up as a duck for a job in high school, Barry Deutsch was seen as female by the public and as gay by his coworkers.  Things got dangerous.  He tells an insightful story about personal vulnerability and the fragility of the gender system in If It Looks Like a Duck on The Nib.
